Caraut Studios - Fabric Art

I studied traditional art methods in college - painting with oils and acrylics, ink and charcoal.  I also learned to sew early in life and designed and made clothing for myself and others, but it wasn't until I saw an amazing portrait created entirely from blue denim fabric scraps that I became hooked on a process called fabric collage - basically painting with fabric pieces and threads.  

The Gallery on this website shows the finished products and an additional page link for work-in-progress pictures of the project being created.  There are also links to our Etsy shop where we offer prints of various size, greeting cards and bookmarks of the project.
